Description

Chain Reaction® - The Future of Human Movement is a premier seminar poised at the forefront of advancing the understanding of Applied Functional Science®. This event welcomes the expertise of renowned functional movement experts, Dr. Gary Gray, Doug Gray, and special guest, Dr. David Tiberio. Designed for both in-person attendance in Chicago, Illinois, and global virtual access, the seminar accommodates professionals from around the world, offering the flexibility to engage with this cutting-edge content from any location. Furthermore, attendees will benefit from exclusive access to a recording of the event, available for two weeks post-seminar, ensuring the opportunity to review and deeply integrate the rich knowledge shared by these thought leaders in the field of human movement.

As part of our efforts to offer the Chain Reaction® seminar to more of you worldwide we will be recording/streaming the seminar virtually on video. Please be advised that by attending this event in-person, you consent to being filmed and to your likeness, voice, and statements being recorded and potentially used for educational, promotional, or other purposes related to the seminar.

Learning Objectives

Identify the three fundamental sciences of Applied Functional Science® and understand how they influence individual patient, client, or athlete care.

Perform a comprehensive 3D Global Movement Analysis that covers all three planes of motion, emphasizing the importance of flexibility, mobility, and strength/stability within movements.

Ascertain the functional abilities of major body segments, including the foot/ankle, knee, hips, lumbar spine, thoracic spine, cervical spine, and shoulder/elbow/wrist, based on the results of a 3D Global Movement Analysis.

Design progressive treatment and training programs that utilize all three planes of motion, derived from insights gained through 3D Global Movement Analysis.

Understand the differences between Traditional and Functional Biomechanics (Chain Reaction®) for various body segments, thereby facilitating more effective interventions.

Develop 3-dimensional treatment and training plans tailored to the specific needs of the following body parts: foot/ankle, knee, hips, lumbar spine, thoracic spine, cervical spine, and shoulder/elbow/wrist.

Distinguish and utilize the various variables of movement such as action, environment, position, driver, direction, height, distance, load, rate, and duration, in designing functional movement strategies.

Understand and implement prevention, performance, and rehabilitation strategies – including potential movement progressions for common conditions like hip flexor strain/tightness, hamstring strain, ankle sprain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, patellar tendonitis, ACL issues, low back pain/tightness, thoracic spine dysfunction, whiplash/acute cervical pain, elevation impingement, tennis elbow/lateral epicondylitis, and more.

Grasp the evidence-based research supporting Applied Functional Science, enhancing your ability to apply scientifically-backed methods in your practice.

Explore applications of Chain Reaction biomechanics in Fascia and Functional Strength, as well as in Functional Isometrics, to broaden the scope of functional movement applications in clinical and training environments.
